چکیده
[1] We study freshwater discharge from the Amazon River into the tropical Atlantic using monthly mean multi-sensor data from September 1997 to July 2003. In order to demonstrate freshwater discharge, we used chlorophyll concentration (Chl_a) and diffuse attenuation coefficient (DAC) measured by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS), and salt steric height anomaly (DhS) derived from Integrated Multi-Sensor Data Analysis (IMSDA). IMSDA was obtained from estimating the long term-time series of DhS by removing the thermal steric height anomaly (h 0 T) from altimetry data. Comparisons of long-term time series of DhS, Chl_a, and DAC were made with mooring data at 8 N, 38 W, which were highly correlated. There are threeto five-month lags between the Amazon River discharge and 4 N latitude estimated from latitude-time diagram derived from SeaWiFS measurements. Citation: Jo, Y.-H., X.-H. Yan, B. Genetic protocol of Atlantic sturgeon Acipenser oxyrinchus (L.) fry for restocking the Vistula river, Poland
In Poland the conservation program of Atlantic sturgeon Acipenser oxyrinchus is conducted during over 10 years by Inland Fisheries Institute in Olsztyn, Poland. Material of A. oxyrinchus is annually transported from Canada to Poland and the broodstock of this species is created. Part of imported fish material is breed and released into local rivers e.g. Drweca River, Vistula River. All the impo...

According to recent Studies, about 60 percent of surface waters and 57 Percent ground waters are located in snowy zones in Iran. In most areas of northern hemisphere and alpine environment areas, snow melt lead to the maximum instantaneous flow rate and is an important part of annual discharge. The present study investigated the effect of snowmelt on the surface waters and ground waters in B...
متن کاملThe influence of Atlantic-Eurasian teleconnection patterns on temperature regimes in South Caspian Sea coastal areas: a study of Golestan Province, North Iran
The main objective of this study was to reveal the impact of nine climate indices on temperature changes and climate oscillations in Golestan Province along the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Climate indices data from across the Atlantic-Eurasian sector were collected from the NCEP/NCAR, the Climate Prediction Centre (CPC) and the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) over a period of 40 years (1971...
